Mr John Bertrand AO
Chairman & Non-Executive Director
Mr Bertrand has founded and built companies in the marine industry, property development and digital media. John is a highly experienced director including roles as Chairman and President, Swimming Australia since October 2013, Chairman, the Sport Australia Hall of Fame since 2004 and Director, Bywater Street Investments Pty Ltd since 2009.
In 1998, John was the co-founder and Chairman of the NASDAQ listed Quokka Sports, a pioneering digital sports media company based in San Francisco.
John has a Bachelor of Engineering (Monash University, 1969) and a Master of Science (MIT, Boston, 1971).
Mr Ron Hall
Mr Hall is the founder and promoter of several successful Melbourne based retail chains, including, Going Going Green, Supply and Demand along with Going Going Gone.
Mr Hall has been a long time user of the radio medium for marketing his products.
Mr Gary Pert
Mr Pert possesses extensive media industry experience, gained whilst serving various senior executive roles including the Managing Director of the Channel Nine Network and the General Manager of Austereo Melbourne. After a successful AFL football career which includes 233 games with Fitzroy and Collingwood, Gary took up a role with the AFL as promotions and development officer between 1989 and 1994, following which he became a sales executive in the Melbourne office of the Austereo radio network.
During his 12 years with Austereo, Gary held various senior management roles culminating in 2006 when he held the joint role of General Manager of Austereo Melbourne and Austereo’s National Sales Director.
As Managing Director of Channel Nine Melbourne, Gary held principal responsibility for one of Australia’s largest media organisation’s with more than 450 staff. After one of the most profitable periods in Channel Nine’s history, Gary was recruited as Chief Executive Officer of the Collingwood Football Club, one of Australia’s largest sporting brands.
Mr Colm O’Brien
Mr O’Brien has over 20 years’ experience at executive level, including nine years as a director with ASX listed media company, Aspermont Limited. In addition to his media industry experience, Mr O’Brien has worked in international financial services, tier one management consultancy and other industries.
He recently created and managed the transformation of Aspermont Limited from a local SME to one of the largest global media businesses in the resources and other sectors, through transitioning a predominantly print based revenue stream into long-term brand extensions in Digital and Events.
Mr O’Brien is a director of Aspermont Limited.
Mr Peter Quattro
Mr Quattro previously seved as both Executive Director and Non-Executive Director of Pacific Star Network Limited over the period from April 2003 to October 2009. Peter has a strong standing and reputation in the media sector which he has built over two decades of strong and consistent achievements.
Peter is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr Michael Nettlefold
Mr Nettlefold has extensive commercial experience in both Australia and Asia, particularly within the Out of Home Media (OOH) sector. He has a 25 year track record of identifying opportunities and building businesses.
As the founder, CEO and major shareholder of Eye Corp the Out of Home advertising business he pioneered some of Australia’s most iconic and valuable OOH advertising properties. These included; a dominant national portfolio of international and domestic Airport Advertising displays; the leading national portfolio of Shopping Mall advertising displays; the largest road and freeway sign networks in Malaysia, Indonesia and across Australia. Eye Corp also developed the first ever bridge / gantry spectacular sign installations on the Tullamarine Freeway, in Victoria.
Michael was a co-founder of Nextt Health, Australia's largest private In Home Care network and he is a Director and shareholder of Live Docklands, a company specifically established to manage OOH advertising assets at the AFL owned Etihad Stadium.
He is also Deputy Chairman of AFL New Zealand and a Director of The Song Room, a leading national not-for-profit Arts education organisation.
Michael is a passionate St Kilda Football Club supporter having been CEO and a Director of the Club during a five year period from 2009. He is a former player with St Kilda and Fitzroy.
